Thread: Puzzle Pirates Private server guide

There has been alot of talk about puzzle pirates private servers that don't really happen. I have attempted one myself, getting to login but unable to move then crashing. This was a long time ago, and my computer has been wiped since then, but I have some partial files that can be used to build your own if you are good in coding and just need a headstart.

First of all, what many "developers" of these servers don't understand is that you actually have to code a SERVER along with a client. Out of experience, I would personally transferring COMPLETED files into mysql to work.

Also, what people don't know is about the fact that you have to have a PP client already downloaded onto your machine, as it is crucial for more work to be done, as many people who have attempted know this already. Probably the most crucial yet the easiest thing that needs to be done when completed is CHANGE THE OCEAN PATH. go throughout the client folder changing all class paths that lead to "LOCALHOST", if working from your computer only, to "127.0.0.1"

Do not flame me if this does not help in the slightest! The last time I worked on this was about 6 months ago, and I DO STILL HAVE MOST FILES. I will be willing to SHOW the files to people who are wanting to see what mostly should look like via teamviewer.


***I am not into puzzle pirates anymore, but still willing to help work on a server if a team is created! I am into runescape now, so if any diehard pp fans who want these files, im willing to also trade them for accounts!***


Also, about my files. I will not give them willy nilly to teams claiming they have some experience doing this, I want to see what YOU can do first. maybe if everyone works together someone could actually make this work. I will post pics of my work, as well.

Well, there is two major ones that I myself know of, and are attempting to go. One CLAIMS they have it done, but they require a "donation" for the client to play, so im not sure whether or not if its a scam.

nice! I have most of a client too, want to go on teamviewer later today (may 5th) and check out what i have and see if anything would be usefull to you? If its for a good cause idc where it goes
