Thread: Abhi - To be banned or not to be banned, that is the question

He's been banned for 7 days by Bob. However this a poll for the community to decide.

He's been getting on my nerves for a while, however the most i've been able to give him a week's suspension before Davee unbans him, however now it seems he's gotten on everyone else's collective tits.

Just a few things which have been fishy and caused problems in the past.

Now of course i could ban him permanently, but i've been enjoying the quiet for a while without people screaming "Nazi Tim" around, so i'll leave it up to everyone to come up with a collective decision. So choose and do leave comments.

In my opinion, i'd go with a permanent ban or at least a month until he learns to cool down a bit. Most of his posts have been flaming others for disagreeing with him or giving him some sort of criticism, mainly of the constructive kind. His guides are mostly copied off others or are just completely useless. Many threads of his have been deleted for quite simply not following the rules of the forums. He offers "hacking" services which are in short nothing more than guessing the security answers of e-mails. Added to above threads i've linked in and a few that have been recent, i think we've given him enough chances to improve and nothing has changed.

Davee did give him a "programmer" position, however to be honest we seem to be handing out positions here like candy from a van parked in front of a pre-school.

I only banned him so he cooled down. Granted I think he should live out the ban but if he has a different attitude I would of removed it.

He wanted me to delete his account an he has some decent posts that would be lost had I done that. The community can decide what to do with him but as of right now im not sure he even intends to come back. Ill vote as I see fit




Edit: An I don't know if it goes without saying so im going to say it anyway. If he comes back because he doesnt receive a perm ban then he should lose his apprentice ship.

i voted perma ban because every experience ive ever had with him has been terrible he has neglected on multiple occasions with multiple people to pay for services as startover mentioned he scammed him out of a maplestory account everything that gives him some sort of cred at least as far as ive seen has just been copied guides and websites that he claimed were going to just refer people to BP but all he really wanted to do was copy all of BPs content and have some gullible members from here add more so he can replace BP and make some money for himself he has promised at least twice to shape up or something like that but really hasnt and his attitude just really pisses me off you may consider this a very prejudiced attitude but its really how i feel on the subject

Perm ban him, never had any contact with him, but from what I've read he seems to be an immature little prick.

I think he should recive another chance...

explain please? hes plagiarized guides with citing sources claiming them for his own he has scammed on multiple occasions created forum alts to thank his own guides and been a bitch about being banned every time its happened I dont really see how you can give him another chance hes had at least 2 already

nothing to explain...thats just my opinion.

I have voted that he should serve out his ban for 7 days. And if he fails to get any better THEN permanently ban him. My main reason for not liking him too much was the false information he gave about Sheer bilge only lasting a few months (When of course it's still going strong) and that when >:3 contradicted him about this he said he got his information from people at GI.

Now, I myself don't know much about GI but from what I've heard they don't seem to be the best people ever. To take in information from them and believe it is surely a bit of a weak point no?

However, When I contradicted his pillage bot he took the criticism well... and though he did defend a bit, he kept himself controlled and understood my point.

This is why I think we should give him one more chance AFTER his 7 day ban.

Before I get perma ban, I want yu guyz to think about it just once. What exactly am i getting banned for? Oh let me guess. For trying to build a BOT and failing at programming (even though I showed snipes12 my edited bot in working position) ~Or~ am I getting banned for arguing with a GM who I trusted with a lot of respect but....

Now all of you thought about the bad part ehh? Ofcourse I created alts to thank my threads, but did i KIll anyone? I just thanked my threads so I could feel good about the work i done. Ofcourse I offered hacking services, and you would be shocked that I rejected it to over 12 people, Read my private messages and you will see. I didn't know I was breaking a rule and when i did......

Now look at the bright side, 1 way or other I have been trying to help buypoe from past 1 year. Created 5 videos (which are now deleted unfortunately) for buypoe. Some of my videos are top videos on youtube related to buypoe and puzzle pirates.
