Instead of bumping a thread by posting in the comments why don't we allow Last post's to be threads recently edited . EG.
Instead of posting a comment of bump
Person A edits his thread with a . or something and it immediately goes to last post. This is easier and less messy and wouldn't be any more different to control than spam bumpers.

Well, it would have to be set to only effect edits every 24 hrs, an I don't see an easy way to code it to bump a thread without a post being made (I could be wrong idk I am not a web developer), it just seems easier to keep it the way it is to me. All the work would be on Davee's end so I honestly don't care if it gets done just trying to see it through his eyes is all.
An also, I don't know about you but the word bump is a bit more satisfying to read then a "." in the new threads, at least then it was a post. I would hate to be brought back to a thread just because of a period.
If you cannot add me to MSN, or if I am not online sending me a PM or a vistor message is the best way to get an answer from me, or we can try to set up an MSN meeting, or talk on skype etc etc.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with a good ol' bump - as long as it's not overused and abused (much like sex).
Only reason i thought of this is because of my videos thread which all my bumps made me look like I was talking to myself :P

actually we could even make something like a bump button that can only be used every 24 hours and would bump the thread without actually making a post. really shouldnt be too hard.
That would be pretty useful I guess.

In one of the other forums i in if you posted twice it would automatically be added to the last post you made and made the thread go to the top of the page. I only used it for a bump so it was pretty good cos it was on my gfx XD
To be or not to be.
Personally I am against making it easier for a thread to come back to the top. Eventually if a person keeps bumping without any interest he will get flamed for it and then the world will be balanced once again. If he isnt posting though just pressing a button then there really isnt a place to flame an we would just spiral to our demise.
I think catching what I mean from the above thought shouldn't be that difficult.
